SAACAPAP is an Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions, open to anyone who works with children: paediatricians, psychologists, social workers, OTs, speech therapists, educationists etc. who are striving to improve the mental health of children and adolescents, encouraging research in child and adolescent mental health and providing contact between other professionals, who work with children and adolescents.

Coronavirus Covid-19 Update
During this period of crisis there is an increasing amount of information available relating to coronavirus and COVID-19. In a socially responsive effort to provide credible, relevant and useful information a list of resources, articles and websites are provided below.
They are broadly compiled into 3 groupings:
1) Managing mental health
2) Children, adolescents and parenting
3) Credible updated information sources.
As this is an on-going and fluid situation we will adapt and update the list as necessary.

SA-ACAPAP has teamed up with colleagues at Stellenbosch University to participate in a global study to examine the mental health outcomes of children and adolescents in the time of COVID-19. The overall study is led from Oxford University in the UK.
We therefore wish to encourage you to distribute the information sheet to any families who may wish to participate.
